“I’m not going to sacrifice my time with my kids,” Sandra said during an April 16 panel at CNBC’s Changemakers Summit. “They’d be happy if I was gone, I would not.”

She further explained, “I do not do my best work if my children are struggling or if they need something and I can’t facilitate it. I’m raising my children, not anybody else.”

Indeed, the Miss Congeniality alum has largely been focused on her family in recent years. Following the death of her longtime partner Bryan Randall in 2023, she has largely kept out of the spotlight, although she had previously shared how important he was in her kids’ lives before his death.

“He’s the example I would want my children to have,” she told the Red Table Talk in December 2021. “I don’t always agree with him and he doesn’t always agree with me, but he is an example even when I don’t agree with him.”
