“He loved me through my goth period…” the Practical Magic actress shared to Instagram on June 21. “Loved on the loves of my life… And loved our country at 18… Happy Heavenly Father’s Day, Dad.”

After John died in 2018 at the age of 93, Sandra shared what she learned after his passing.

“Life, I realize, happens whether you schedule it or not,” she told The Ellen DeGeneres Show at the time. “That just blew my mind this year.”

And understanding that unpredictability, the Ocean’s 8 star knows that every moment with her family counts. In fact, she recently discussed how she balances motherhood with her career, explaining that the upcoming Practical Magic 2 was made possible because her kids were “out of school” at the time of production.
