Classic Apple Crisp

Ingredients

For the Crisp Topping:

  • 1 cup old-fashioned rolled oats
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/4 cup chopped nuts (optional — walnuts or pecans)
