If you feel like you get stuck in a styling rut, my number one advice is to turn to someone who never, ever fails to serve up a lewk. And while I can think of a few, my favorite star who always serves freshness when it comes to her style is Sarah Jessica Parker. As in, you can never predict what she’s going to pair together—and yet somehow, she always makes me want to wear exactly what she is.

Parker’s latest outfit adventure (can I call it that?) is one for the books. She styled a beige poplin skirt, the silhouette I’m deeming summer’s most popular, with a brown button-down top with white stitching. Typically, most people would probably take the easy route and wear said skirt with a tank top or tuck in a white tee, but SJP’s choice is fresh, fun, and way more stylish. She added some shape by cinching a brown suede belt with a large gold buckle overtop, adding in a light-brown leather bag and studded flatform sandals for added height and drama.

Parker is an avid clog wearer, so her wood-sole flatforms make sense. In fact, from any other angle, you might think she’s wearing her trusty clogs. But instead, she went with a raffia upper platform style that had studs along the base for some edge—and height. Honestly, while I love a poplin skirt with sneakers for a bit of juxtaposition, I now need to invest in sandals like Parker’s for the season. They’re versatile, cute, and comfortable—yes, comfortable, because that platform sole supports and lifts evenly, unlike heels where all the weight lands on the forefoot.
