A New Beginning
We never returned to the relationship we once had, but we forged a new path as co-parents. I learned that forgiveness is not a singular act but a series of daily choices. It was a journey filled with challenges, but it was also one of growth and understanding. I realized that sometimes people leave not because they stop loving you, but because they stop loving themselves.
Two years ago, I thought my life ended when Jenna walked out the door. However, in that café, as I witnessed her vulnerability, I understood that pain can transform us, but so can grace. For the first time in a long while, I felt a sense of freedom—a freedom rooted in forgiveness and the possibility of new beginnings.
